Joan was Design/instructor for the Defense Intelligence College. Her article, “The Bottom Line in Interior Design, was published in ASID DESIGNLINE and Her ideas for “new brides” was published in Bride & Home magazine. She has designed for many National Symphony Decorator Show Houses-the first one is 1982, The Southern Maryland decorator Show House and the Warrenton Virginia decorator Show House. Over a period of many years, she was selected to create vignettes for the Washington Home and Hospice. Joan was guest speaker on Channel 8, guest speaker for Professional Women on Channel 45, radio guest speaker on Basically Business, quest speaker on interior design at Howard University, featured in Showcase of Interior Design and selected for Baron’s Who’s Who in Interior Design. Her designs are a reflection of her client’s lifestyle and attention to detail is her recognizable trademark along with a Classic/European design approach. Her sense of color is trend setting, not following. Loving to work with many periods and styles has enabled Joan to create exciting, warm, livable homes and offices.  Joan has designed corporate offices for major firms, an area restaurant, Beauty Salon, designed and embellished the complete interiors of a 18,000 sq. ft. home showcasing the owners heritage and Middle Eastern art collection, designed a 6000 sq. ft addition showcasing of a 3000 sq. ft European style ballroom with intricate wall, ceiling and mirror detailing, along with a 3000 sq. ft in-home corporate board room and health facility.  Joan was an art consultant for corporate offices.
